Located near the tropical rainforest of Tamarindo, Costa Rica, the fifth anniversary of the underground music festival Ocaso will take root from January 6 to 11. Considered one of the more affordable festivals, the six-day excursion will start at $ 109 for residents $ 139 for international participants. The festival does not offer VIP or bottle service options, in a nod to its unifying mission. Says the Ocaso team,
“Ocaso does not support or believe in exclusion of any kind. This is not what we think of the underground and it does not respect the roots of this movement. Ocaso does not have a VIP area, does not have a VIP pass, does not have bottle service, or anything that cannot be enjoyed by every participant. We believe that we are all the same and that no wall should be placed between us.
Equipped with some of the best sunrise and sunset DJ sets that the festival circuit will see next season, the ‘leave no trace’ event reduces its vision to intimate experiences spread across a jungle amphitheater and beach. tropical. The 2022 lineup includes house and techno’s most essential vendors including Hot Since 82, Seth Troxler and Doc Martin, not to mention emerging artists who are rapidly rising through the ranks such as Lauren Lane, Magit Cacoon and one of the Astronaut dance ‘s Artists to follow in 2021, Qrion. Stay tuned for more information as phase two of the festival rolls out in the coming months.
