Long City Limits’ sixth annual benefit concert is on the books.
The JL Long Buccaneer Band, which has over 300 members, is hosting the event to raise funds. This year, the band hope to use the proceeds from the event to pay for their trip to Disney World, where they can perform with some of the country’s top musicians and experience what it’s like to be a professional musician. Part of the funds will also go to group equipment and private lessons.
During the event there will be food trucks, drinks, raffles and live music. Bands performing include Pangea, Los Gran Reyes, MoJo DoLLs, and The Squeaky Struts, which is the group to which Long’s group director Caitlin Schmidt belongs. Pangea, the headliner, is made up of former members of the band Long and Woodrow.
Long City Limits is scheduled from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on November 7 at the Samuell Grand Amphitheater.
