Filipino musician Eduard Banez (known for being a member of Star Magic Batch 15) is currently working on a brand new Nickelodeon comedy series!

Banez decided to pursue a musical career after his performance of Sharon Cuneta’s Kahit Maputi Na Ang Buhok Ko, composed by Rey Valera, garnered over 120,000 views on YouTube.

He also dabbled in news broadcasting and worked with Net25 and co-host on a TV radio show with singer-comedian Arnell Ignacio on Radyo Singko 92.3 News FM. Eduard then managed to complete his nursing course at New Era University.

But when his family emigrated to the United States in 2015, he joined them and settled there as well.

He worked on the west coast of the United States. After a while in California, he got the chance to work with Ed Sheeran and Justin Bieber in the “I Don’t Care” music video.

He also took the pleasure of working with Sia and her team in the Chandelier clip. He shares that they used a lot of antique furniture from Africa for the shoot.

He is honored to work with Sia and plans to bring the talented artist to perform in Manila and release a single for her as well as for pop and soul singer-songwriter Cassie Ventura and other artists. Well, that will happen after the pandemic is over.

While working, Eduard still finds time to continue his studies in Media History and Political Arts at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).

He’s been busy doing a sitcom for Nickelodeon lately. Along with his regular work at the famous Six Flags California theme park, best known for its biggest roller coasters in the world.

If this pandemic is over, he wants to return to the Philippines to pick up where he left off. But due to travel restrictions and hassle, it won’t be easy. So it can wait.

Eduard admires Mariah Carey and Boyz 2 Men. And Nina at the local front.

Lots of projects but nothing is impossible. Only the Covid puts an end to many activities and schedules.

“It is not enough to dream of your ideas. Make plans. You must take steps to bring about their creation. Fuel your passion. Eduard speaks as if he is a surrealist.
