DORMONT, PA – Dormont legend Joe Grushecky will be highlighting the musical part of the 13th Dormont Street and Music Festival on Saturday. The annual event of live artists, food vendors and crafts takes place on Potomac Avenue from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m.
The musical programming, sponsored by the borough, Arsenal Cider Tap House-Dormont and Papa’s Basement, includes a variety of local talent. On the main stage of Arsenal Cider:
- 1 p.m .: Rock South Hills.
- 2:30 p.m .: Music Pierce Dipner.
- 5:30 p.m .: The Walkmen Band.
A second, smaller performance tent will be located on Potomac near West Liberty. Presented by the Gold Mountain Music Festival, the program includes:
- 4 p.m .: Peter and the cuckoo
- 5 p.m .: CBMG Unity Band & Show
Other highlights include a Kidzone on Glenmore Avenue with the Go Explore Create public art project, a Dormont Fire Department truck, and a 30-foot Pennsylvania National Guard rock face.
Arsenal Cider will also host a brewing garden on Espy Avenue with their specialty cider, Chosen Wine Dormont PA and Back Alley Brewing Company. Quarantine Bob and Texas Tex will perform in the Brewing Garden from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.
