Hello and welcome to Monday football.london Chelsea news and transfers live blog, keeping you up to date with the latest news from Stamford Bridge.

The Blues, who beat Peterborough United 6-1 in their first friendly preseason outing on Saturday at their Cobham training ground, will fly to Ireland to continue their preparations ahead of the start of the new season of Premier League.

As of now, the Blues are yet to complete their first window signing this summer, which means head coach Thomas Tuchel has yet to sign since Frank Lampard was replaced in January.

But even though several Blues fans are starting to get frustrated, Chelsea are working hard behind the scenes trying to push through the door to new faces, with Borussia Dortmund ace Erling Haaland continuing to be their main target.

The Blues are desperate to strengthen their attacking ranks this summer and Tuchel sees Haaland as the ideal missing link. But with Chelsea seemingly nowhere in their pursuit of the Leeds-born scorer, it has been reported that they might look to Robert Lewandowski instead.
